Scar Removal & Stretch Marks

What are stretch marks?

Stretch marks, medically known as striae, are a common skin condition characterized by long, narrow streaks or lines that appear on the surface of the skin. They typically occur when the skin is stretched or rapidly expanded, often due to factors like pregnancy, weight gain, growth spurts during adolescence, or rapid muscle development.

Stretch marks typically start as red or purple lines, which can gradually fade to a lighter, silvery color over time. They are a result of the dermis (middle layer of skin) tearing due to the rapid stretching, and they can be more common in areas with high amounts of fat storage, such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, and breasts. While stretch marks are a normal and harmless skin condition, they can be a source of cosmetic concern for some people.

We have a great solution to reduce the appearance of stretch marks! Laser resurfacing technology uses pulses of light energy to target and break down scars and stretch marks triggering new tissue production underneath the skin. The new collagen production will help improve the texture and color of the stretch marks and scars.

How Can We Help Improve The Appearance Of Your Scars?

  • Chemical Peels: Chemical solutions are applied to the skin, causing it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. This can improve the appearance of certain types of scars.

  • Laser Therapy: High-intensity laser resurfacing can stimulate collagen production and improve the skin's texture.

  • Dermal Fillers: For certain types of scars, injecting fillers can elevate the depressed areas, making the skin surface more even.

  • Topical Treatments: Creams, gels, or serums with ingredients like retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), or vitamin C can help improve skin texture and promote collagen production.
